I usually don't tell the seckrets behind my drawings, but seeing as how some of you dont have the benefit of drugz to reveal the narrative, I will do so now!

Concept
The Nutt Houze is about the perpetuation of dysfuncktional famileez and broken homez. More specifically it is about my fear of creating a dysfuncktional family/broken home with my gurlfriend who (like me) comez from a somewhat dysfunctional family and had issues growing up. I'm afraid of repeating the cycle.

Symbolizm
The main character represents both me and my gf. The character has my indecisiveness and frustration on the matter of having children, and she is trapped by the home and familee just as my gurlfriend was at the time I first sketched the pic last year.

The Electric Lawn Chair represents the hopeless outcome of two dysfunctional people starting a dysfunctual familee. I chose to keep the lawn chair a lawn chair because it seems more like part of the house--an extension of house and familee.

The Nutt House itself literally represents the house of krazy people I may be doomed to create in the future.

I drew "I wish I could..." becuz I felt helpless at the time I drew the pic. There were so many thingz I wish I could do at the time I couldnt just put one.

"T-H-I-S I-S L-I-F-E-?" (dress) becuz there has to be more to a Life than this...

Iconz
Skwirrelz - Im not sure why I chose Skwirrelz over Wabbits this time. Wabbits would have fit the idea of reproduction better--but I just saw Purple Skwirrelz when I imagined this. The boy iz holding condoms while the gurl iz holding birth control pills. The top Skwirrel iz opening the pills I actually take for my dysthymia which my docktor informed me I may pass on to my children. The bottom Skwirrel is the exxocutioner who is locking the main character to the electric lawn chair.

Mama - Loosely based on my gurlfriend who also has issuez which may get worse with time.

Kidz - The Kidz are in the broken nut house. They are helliots, especially the one on the roof kicking the cashew chimeney. I also tried to show that altho the main character iz away from the house and the familee, she iz still under their kontrol.

BTW: this was last year when I started this pic. We got a puppy since then and both decided if we were to ever had kidz, it would not be for a looooooong time! A puppy iz enuff responsibility by itself!
